BRIAN LANGLEY
Brian is a poet who writes in strict rhyme and rhythm about a vast range of subjects drawn largely from his life experiences. Travelling, camping, fishing, getting older, day to day living - he's even written a few short verses specially for kids.
Born in 1940 in country WA, Brian spent much of his working life as a technical teacher. He started writing poetry in the late 1980s, but most of his early work was confined to family events and some cynical work stuff. In the late 90's he extended his subject matter which continues to grow.
His poetry ranges from the very serious to light humor, some with a little quirkiness, and some with an unexpected twist at the end.
He is a member of the WA Bush Poets & YarnSpinners Assn and is available for public and private performances of his own work.
His poetry and performances have won him several awards.
