The 2010 WA Spring Poetry Festival will be held on 27th to 29th August and will be followed by National Poetry Week events all over WA from 30th August to 5th September.

2009 WA Spring Poetry Festival and National Poetry Week was held from Friday 28th August to Sunday 6th September.
History of National Poetry Week in WA
In 2004, Donna Ward and the Out of the Asylum Writer's Group organised several events in WA to celebrate National Poetry Week in Western Australia, for the first time.
The events were a huge success and provided a basis on which to build future National Poetry Week events in WA.
